Acer Aspire One Happy2 Netbook (ep.5)

Cute, sturdy and just perfect for our needs

My 12 year old daughter needed a netbook for school as his was lost. We searched and searched to find one that was a good price but also a trusted brand and we met. That’s when we stumbled upon the Acer Aspire One happy2. The fun colors that attracted him, but the details that attracted me.
“It is about 10x10x1, so it is small but not too small. Perfect size for its BackBack.
-The speed of the Intel 1.66 is fast enough for what to do (writing articles, playing some online games)
The graph is RAM-64 Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3150, when he had no latency Minecraft Thurs:)
-The hard drive is 250 GB, so much for a child or for someone who wants to take a tiny laptop on vacation to upload photos.
-We found the battery will last about 4-5 hours before needing to charge again.
We are pleased with our happy and had no problems at all things fall into place, the drivers installed, etc. Thank Acer to release a quality product that anyone can afford!

Great little laptop, fast, pretty, light and robust

I love this laptop, it works great! It’s fast, light, very easy on the eyes and very robust. The award is just the most incredible case I can imagine. Why buy an expensive laptop when it can do everything you need for a laptop, for a quarter of the price of the cheapest MacBook! I highly recommend this to anyone who is in the market for a new laptop. Of course, this is not a gaming machine, or graphics, etc. But that’s not really what I consider to be useful for laptops anyway, especially small ones like this.

A very reliable laptop – laptop to my best

I’ve used laptops before, but this laptop for the price is beyond expectations. It has a very comfortable keyboard. The device is very well designed and it works faster than my previous laptop with almost the same characteristics. I recommend it to anyone looking for a lightweight laptop and reliable. After a few days of use, I decided to order a second for a friend.

Dell Inspiron Mini 1012 Netbook (ep.5)

A nice netbook for surfing the net usual coffee.

I was after a new netbook (owner of an Eee 701) and thought I would go with the Dell this time.
I found the Dell the most attractive package in early 2010 for the follwoing reasons:
1. comes with the new Atom 450 (Nergy be somewhat more effective)
2. the 6-cell battery gives me more air time than the 3-cell batteries in many other netbooks.
3. the keyboard is a pleasure to type on quickly.
4. the case is not only beautiful but sturdy. No significant bending of any kind under pressure.
5. the screen is nice, vibrant colors.
6. touchpad is large and usable.
I was using the mini now for a couple of days and I’m not disappointed. I use it to surf the web of light, e-mail, and typing (basic classical applications of a netbook). In addition, I use it for streaming music in my Zune subscription.
My expectations are met. Windows Starter seems just a bit of a bottleneck in terms of included (or lack) characteristics from Home or Professional. I could not figure out how to save the Mini via a mapped network drive and as it is, there must be a lack (or blocked) function because of Windows 7 Starter Edition. Upgrade seems the best choice if you really want to use the mini for sharing and streaming home.
